Trip to Israel
LMC’s trip to Israel is just around the corner, Nov.
4-13! With 28 participants, we are excited for our journey
to begin. A pot luck social for all participants and their families is scheduled
for 5 pm, Sunday, October 2nd, in the Fellowship Hall. Contact the pastor if you
have questions.
We will fly from Dulles Intl. Airport on Friday, November 4, 2011,
and return on Sunday, November 13, 2011. The trip will include extensive touring
in Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Masada, Jericho, Nazareth, Tiberias, Capernaum,
Bethsaida, Megiddo, Caesarea, and more. The Bible will come alive as we walk
where Jesus walked. The cost of the tour is currently at $3,100 per person. This
includes round-trip air, hotels, breakfast and dinner daily, all entrance fees,
tour guides, motor coach, airport taxes, and fuel surcharges, and travel
insurance. Not included, are tips, lunches, and souvenirs!

.HELP....HELP.....We need
Help...HELP....HELP....HELP!
The good news is, the new Thrift store has made a lot more people aware of the
Fairfield Food Pantry.
The bad news is, donations are declining. For some reason this month Fairfield
did not get ANY
Food donations from the postal service food drive. They desperately need help.
Please add at least
one item to your usual shopping list and help those in need. We have two areas
where you can drop
off these items - there is a box in the entrance to church and there is a box
located by our library.
Shut-In Ministry -
If anyone would like to do some visitation to shut-ins, the Deacons would
welcome the help. Jean Bentz will be doing shut-in visitations in September, so
please contact her at 334- 6064 if you think such visits to others would be
something you'd enjoy and have a little time to spare and share.

Give the Gift of Time!!
A team of volunteers is being formed to provide help to those in our
congregation who are unable to help themselves with such things as yard work and
minor home repairs. Please sign up in the Narthex.
