Concert & Ice Cream Social - LMC's traditional "end of summer" ice cream social is scheduled for Sunday evening, August 29th, at 6 pm in the Peace Garden. This year's entertainment will be our own Linda Clark and
her fiddlers. There will be games and activities for the kids, along with plenty of ice cream and delicious
homemade toppings. Land of Little Horses will be providing pony rides. Entertainment will be provided by "Silver Liners" dance troupe as well. This is an opportunity to reach out to our community, so invite your friends and neighbors!
As they did last year, "Walk By Faith & Friends" will present a concert in the Sanctuary at 4:30 pm that afternoon
open to the entire community. Friends of "Shine the Light" children's chorus will share as well. Invite your friends and neighbors.

Russian Visit - Oleg Vasilev, Pastor of our sister church in Novorossiysk, Russia; along with his son, Andrey, who spent 3 months in Gettysburg a couple years ago, will visit the LMC family in mid-September. We will be looking for homes to host them during their two week visit, along with families to have them for a meal. More information will follow in August, as plans are firmed up.

"Lend-A-Hand" Mission Response:Haiti: Volunteers are still needed for two upcoming mission trips - Sept. 18-25 and Oct. 23-30. For further information see the notice in the Narthex or call the church office.

SIGHT & SOUND The very last production at Living Waters Theater will be "Psalms of David" in Sept. LMC is scheduled to go on Friday, Sept. 10th for the 4:30pm show. The bus will leave the church at 2:15pm. Cost for the chartered bus, show , and driver tip is $32.00 for adults and $22.00 for youth 18 and under. Sign up in the Narthex.

Camp Krislund, Madisonburg, is seeking skilled workers August 25 - 27 to continue the construction of the new dorm rooms at the Upper Lodge. Contact Lend A Hand @ 731-8888 or call Bill Bauer @ 717-319-5018 if you can help.

A team of volunteers is being formed to provide help to those in our congregation who are unable to help themselves with such things as yard work and minor home repairs. Please sign up in the Narthex.
